Shopsite 7 SMTP Problem

Hello,

We have been running 7 for quite a long time and our email provider now wants us to use authentication to use there email service. I do not see any provisions in shopsite to provide a username / password - Any suggestions?

What server operating system are you using? If it is Linux or FreeBSD or Solaris, maybe you could switch to using the sendmail binary on the server instead of sending via SMTP. If your ShopSite is on a Windows server, however, you are stuck with SMTP. There is no capability in ShopSite to so any SMTP authentication (even in newer versions). Note that most SMTP servers can be configured to accept mail from specific IP addresses without authentication.

Unfortunately it is sever 2003. I will see if I can find a service that authenticates via the ip address. Thanks for the Help!
