How do I import the correct store ID and item number

Hello, now I am using Shopsite version 8 and I need to upgrade to version 10, but when I tested to import my current DB everything fine except version 10 did not correct my store ID and item number and I would like to make these exactly same as version 8 that I am using.

Please suggest.

If you are looking at the encrypted storeid, it will be different each time it is generated. As long as the storeid and serial number in the auth file have not changed, any version of the encrypted storeid will decrypt to the one in the auth file.

What you should do when upgrading is run the the install in upgrade mode using the data that is in your current store. The upgrade process will maintain the same record numbers. Importing products will never give you the same record numbers unless you have never deleted any products from your store. If your store must be moved to a different server in order to be upgraded (some ISPs do it that way) then a new store should be installed using the authfile from your current store. After the store is installed, the data directory from your old store should be moved to the data directory of the new store and then the install should be run again using the upgrade mode to upgrade the data from the old store to the new database format.
