URL images cannot be changed to thumbnail and medium????

I'm a new user of Shopsite . One of my wholesalers provides product info. in Excel. Each item has an image as a link to the wholesaler's website. If I upload these images with the product info into Shopsite, I can use them. But it seems Shopsite cannot change them to small and medium images. I can save the images on my PC one by one and use them in Shopsite Manager and get the small and medium images. It's time consuming. Is there a quicker way than saving them one by one? ?? Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

When you are uploading the images, are you renaming them (this is optional). And if you are renaming them, are you still keeping the extension, such as .jpg, .gif, or .png? If you are not, ShopSite will not be able to resize the images. ShopSite cannot resize files when the file type (JPG, GIF, PNG) is unknown. If you already have images in your image folder that you have uploaded that don't have the extension on them and you know what the extension is, you can click on the image, click edit image, and enter the extension. You can then highlight the image, then click create resized images, and ShopSite will generate the new sizes of images for you.

Thanks for the reply. I did not rename and the correct extension jpg is there. but you've given me some direction to look. I'll keep looking.

whats the URL to a page where you have your images that cannot be resized?

I found a solution. Extreme Picture Finder software can rip images and data from websites. There are quite a few programs that can do this. I tried several and Extreme worked as advertised. I'm using the FREE Trial software for 24 days to try it out. It pulled all the images from my wholesaler's website. It had one perculiarity: I downloaded it but when I tried to use it it said" Trial period finished".
I switched users to my admin role and there it was and usable for 24 days.
