the "store" directory is added to the URL

the "store" directory is added to the URL

Postby Sir Yendor » Thu May 12, 2011 4:46 pm

I'm using Shop Site Pro version 10.2 - You probably won't be able to see any of the pages I'm referencing below since there is an old site active at the domain name. I've needed to modify my Host file in order to work on the site.

On a category page (http://carolinaandco.com/Monogrammed_Gifts_For_Her.html) where multiple products display, each with a link generated by Shop Site, I've run into a problem. When I create the product and enter the more info page file name, I named it "Presidential_Robe.html" I've assigned the product to the above page. The product displays properly on the category page but when clicked, it links here:

http://carolinaandco.com/store/Presidential_Robe.html

and pulls up a "web page can not be found" error. Manually removing the /store tag from the URL and going here: http://carolinaandco.com/Presidential_Robe.html pulls up a good page.

Since the link is generated by Shop Site, it seems as if whichever is correct (with or without "/store" included in the URL), the proper link would be generated.

Have I missed something? What can I do to resolve this?

Thanks for the help.

The ShopSite-generated link to More Info Pages is based on the URL contained in your store's license file. If your ShopSite-generated pages are at http://carolinaandco.com but the links go to http://carolinaandco.com/store, then the license file has the wrong URL (http://carolinaandco.com/store) in it, and you will need to contact your ShopSite reseller/hosting provider to have them replace your ShopSite's license file with one with the correct URL (http://carolinaandco.com) in it. Once they have done this, you should be able to regenerate all of your store pages from the Utilities -> Publish menu and that should replace all of the http://carolinaandco.com/store in the links to More Info Pages with http://carolinaandco.com.
