Zoom Function Error w/ IE7 & IE8

We've had reports that the zoom function does not work properly with IE7 & IE8. Has anyone else experienced the same issue? If so, any suggestions as to a solution. Thanks in advance.

Found on the More Info Page. When a customer scrolls over the image, the image is magnified.

That looks like custom JavaScript added by the designer who created your custom product template, you should report this to them and see if they have an updated version of that JavaScript.
