I've loaded my products in a file and it went well.
But now I've needed to change some prices and it was easier to do it in the spread sheet and I'd like to reload the file so it overwrites the existing file.
I tried uploading, I find th efile but it doesnt "take" it doesnt load.
Suggestions on how to upload a newer version of the product file so it updates product?
thanks
John

Re: Inventory file upload
UPloading a file with change prices or inventory quantity should work. Make sure you don't choose the option to add the additional items instead of updating the existing products.
In order for the new prices to display on store pages you need to publish the store since the pages are static html.

After rereading your question I note this line "I tried uploading, I find th efile but it doesnt "take" it doesnt load."
What do you mean by "I find the file?" How are you uploading the file? You should be using Utilities > Database > Upload which applies the changes in the upload file to the database.

Re: Inventory file upload
Hi Jim- I needed to choose the ignore items that do not already exist and the file loaded perfectly.
I might suggest a different choice of words in that radio button choice. Maybe "over write file with exisiting data only NO new items added with this choice"
Or something like that so it would be more intuitive.
Just a suggestion.... BUT the most important thing is thank you for your help!
