Multiple Product Ordering

Postby posty27 » Mon Feb 28, 2011 2:58 pm

I want to add a "Quick Order" feature to my website where a customer can fill in a form with the product SKU and Quantity and have that submitted to the shopping cart. Is this possible? The form would be 2 columns (Product Number & Quantity) with up to 10 rows. The customer would then input their desired product's SKU & the Quantity wanted for up to 10 products. It would be similar to this Quick Order on the right side of the page: http://www.all-spec.com/

I've looked at the "Creating a Multi-Product [Add to Cart] Button" information but that would require me to display each product which I don't want/need to do.

A modified version of the multi-add to cart template could be used for doing what you want. You would need to use the order by sku format of the OrderAnyWhere code and have the input field for the partnumber be the sku of the product. If you don't want to have the checkbox buy each option you would have to have some javascript check all the fields and only submit those that have valid data.

Lexiconn has a module they call "Quick Order Module" which does what you want to do. It is free to merchants that host with them. You could contact them directly to see if it is available to non-hosted sites. You can see a description of it at http://www.lexiconn.com/ecommerce/shopsite/quickorder_module.html Their contact info can be found on that page.
