Using Shopsite Associate/Affiliate to track Overture referal

I read an early posting (10/18/02) from Norman of 1 Ocean Boulevard re using
Shopsites Associate/Affiliate to track Overture referals. We would be very
interested to hear how he does this. We have tried to submit shopsites
affiliate code (in the Overture link) without any success at all.

We set up Overture as an affiliate in Shopsite.

When overture asks for the URL we place this part of the Shopsite code.

The order comes in with Overture printed in the affilate area. From posts here
this strategy may not work with some versions of Shopsite and some Overture
sites, ie UK.

Thanks Norman,
Hmmm. Version 6.1.1. is different - we tried it and failed to get Overture
to accept the code.

We track sales from Overture utilizing the affiliate setup in Shopsite. We
have multiple entry pages for specific keyword bids, so it has become a job.
We had to justify the marketing cost so work is necessary.
