shopsite error

Postby gene » Thu Jan 20, 2011 5:06 pm

I have this error message:

A fatal numeric overflow error has occurred in processing your order. If you have tried to order several products you may be able to order the products individually without causing this error.

How do I solve this? Please help. Thanks.

What is causing the error? A product with a negative price? A product with a negative weight, A discount/coupon that exceeds the value of the items in the cart. An order with a total of more than $2 billion?

Can you repeat the problem at will or is it a random occurrence? Does it happen on every order? Can you describe the exact steps to reproduce the problem, (URL to product(s) to add to cart, quantity of products added to cart, coupons used, tax rate in affect, etc).

What version of ShopSite are you using? Where is your store hosted? If it is hosted a ShopSite partner have you asked their support staff for assistance?

You gave too few details to try determine what is causing the problem.

This error message occurred during publish. Publishing will not finished and this message will appear. Is it a database error?

I am using ShopSite® Pro 10 sp2 r1

This is not an issue i have heard of so I don't know what might be causing the problem. If you are using custom page, product templates, try changing to ShopSite provided templates to see if the issue still happens.

Have you run the database check under Utilities > Database? If so does it give an error or and Ok status?
I assume that the store was working fine at some point. What changes had you made shortly before it started happening?

If your host is a ShopSite partner, who provides support, escalate this thru their support channel until you get an answer as to why it is occurring. If your host isn't a ShopSite partner or is one that doesn't provide support please purchase a support incident at http://shopsite.com/support_pricing.html
