Broken images in checkout screen

Postby danturk » Mon Nov 29, 2010 1:31 pm

I'm just now setting up ShopSite. I've included a link to my "hosting services" page screenshot so you can see the setup.

My issue is I get broken images at the bottom of the checkout screen. The pages shows as completely secure. It's pulling images from a non-https location and if I click to view the image in another tab, I get a 404.

If you want to go through from the ordering page go here: http://www.gettapair.net/ordering/
and enter passord: ballsofsteel
Scroll down and add to cart, then view cart.

Image

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

Even if you don't have 'Use SSL security in ShopSite (Merchant Interface)' checked, you still need to have the 'ShopSite Images Secure URL' configured (unless you use a custom cart template with your own custom buttons), and the URL for that setting should probably be:

https://www.gettapair.net/shopsite-images

Also note that the 'Secure Store URL' (which should be the secure equivalent of the non-editable 'Store URL' in the section below) should probably be:

https://www.gettapair.net

Not:

https://www.gettapair.net/ordering

Thanks for the quick response Loren

That's a non-editable setting. I've looked, and there's no way to change it.

Also note that the 'Secure Store URL' (which should be the secure equivalent of the non-editable 'Store URL' in the section below) should probably be:

https://www.gettapair.net

Not:

https://www.gettapair.net/ordering

Wouldn't that make the entire site HTTPS creating an unnecessary load on the server?

Loren,

I change the secure store URL and it did not effect the entire site. Still have the image issue though.

Did you configure the "ShopSite Images Secure URL:" to what Loren suggested? Looking at the image you included the field is editable. (It it the 4th field down in your image)

The missing images are being called from
https://www.gettapair.net/en-US/buttons/modern-rd/modern-rd-returntocart.gif
but is actually at
https://www.gettapair.net/shopsite-images/en-US/buttons/modern-rd/modern-rd-returntocart.gif
So configuring the ShopSite Images Secure URL to what Loren suggested should fix the problem.

Jim.. another problem. Now many of the links in the ShopSite backoffice get 404 errors. For example change password gets a 404. Any ideas?

What did you put in the "ShopSite secure URL:" it should be the same as the "Merchant CGIs URL:" but with https instead of http: so probably https://www.gettapair.net/ss

Did you check the box "Use SSL security in ShopSite (Merchant Interface)"?
