unable to retrieve orders

Postby inc0herent » Tue Nov 02, 2010 11:48 am

HI,

my Shopsite installation hosted by Verio is giving me this error, when I try to login to the .../cgi-bin/ss/start.cgi page, it takes me to this page.
-------------------------------------

<SCRIPT language="JavaScript">
<!--
window.location="/Core/vsso.cgi?shopsite_auth_tkt=ZDUzZTg3OGUyMDc0ZWU0Mzg0YzRlZTA0YWEwYTMwMGQ0Y2QwNWJjM2FwcDE0MyE=&url=http://www.-.com/cgi-bin/ss/start.cgi";
//-->
</SCRIPT>
</head></html>
------------------------------------

Shipworks gives me a 403 forbidden error when I try to download my orders.

This had been working fine for over a year, and there have been no changes on my end. Verio had gotten no where in fixing this over the last 5 days.

Anyone have any ideas?

tHANKS!

Please contact Verio directly for assistance with this issue. They evidently change the login process recently and it has messed up logins for a lot of people. They are the only ones who will be able to help with this.

I am experiencing the same issue with verio - i have a support case open but no resolution yet - something changed about 2 weeks ago with their log in process - i have been working with my shipping vendor as well as verio trying to determine why things are being redirected to the wrong page - at first we thought it was our shipping application but now it appears that something at verio changed around october 20th

ill post any resolution oi get from them

I have been going in circles with them on chat, phone, email and they are giving me a big time runaround - saying nothing has changed, and that its my shipping vendors fault - even though i have provded them with logs that show the redirect from the gateway to the control panel log in page - they say "this is not true" and "it cant happen that way" and basically are telling me to go pound sand.

Anyone on here have a hosting alternative to Verio that they are happy with? i tried ipwerweb but they pretty much suck... so looking for anyone with any ideas on a new hosting company...

Here are work around suggestion from Verio.

There are two workarounds, one is to log directly into the control panel before accessing any ShopSIte URL’s directly; the other workaround is to find the backup copy of the pre-dist original .htaccess file which the system makes automatically (should be in the ss directory) and restore it. Either method should work, though the second makes life simpler for the customer.

Tried this, and it works if you are accessing the back office url's form a browser, but it does not help a 3rd application. Even when i log in to control panel - readyshipper still fails due to a redirect to control panel.

I will give this a try tonight

found the htaccess file and sure enough it was changed on october 20th the day we started having problems - here is the current htaccess file - you can see the redirect at the bottom

AuthType None
require valid-user
TKTAuthCookieName shopsite_auth_tkt
TKTAuthBackArgName shopsite_back
TKTAuthIgnoreIP on
TKTAuthLoginURL ControlPanel/index.xsl

the date stamp is the very day we started having problems

I haven't worked with Verio, so I can't comment about them. But, I work with many merchants who are using Lexiconn. They are a great hosting provider to work with.

Verio finally got back to me. They've fixed the problem. No explanation, but now the link is working.
