Dear All,
I have shop site being hosted with Go Daddy, the system was working fine however all of a sudden we are getting an error Unable to open settings file [shopsite.aa]. whenever someone tries to add something to the shopping cart or tries to check out.

refreshing the page will then give an error

>>
Error in Form!

We're sorry, but there was an error in your form data!

You must specify a valid value for: storeid .

Please go back and try it again.

There may be multiple reasons for the "unable to open settings file" message.
Sometimes it is caused by corruption of the file resulting from lack of disk space (or user quota) when the file is being written out.
It may also be caused if a form contains multiple instances of the storeid value which results in an invalid storeid being passed to the shopping cart.

The first thing I would check is to see if you html page has multiple instances of "storeid=*..." within the form where your add to cart button is located. If this is not the case then you should check to see if you are at or above the disk space quota allowed for your store. If you are over quota then you will need to increase the amount of disk space. Once the disk space issue is resolved you will probably have to have the file restored from a backup.

You should contact your host for assistance in resolving the issue. If they need help they can escalate the issue to ShopSite for assistance.
