Automated Notifications????

I just received an odd email.

From: orders@ahoycaptain.com
To: orders@ahoycaptain.com
Subject: Store: AhoyCaptain, Product with zero weight field
Body

Product: Plastimo XM Offshore Bib - Red
The above product has no weight.

When I checked the product, sure enough the weight was zero. Is this something new? Automated checking and notification of product "errors".
Only thing I can think of is a customer added the product to the cart and the shipping module recognized that the product had no weight and triggered an error. Is this the case? I've never seen this before HOWEVER I did switch to the FedEx shipping module from the FedEx/USPS module this morning because the USPS API was hanging the system.

No, this is not new (unless you just recently switched shipping methods). Go to Commerce Setup -> Shipping and click the Configure button next to the shipping service (UPS, FedEx, or USPS) that you are using, and look for a section labeled 'Missing Product Weight' with a Change button next to the 'E-mail alert settings' label in that section. You can turn this on or off, and you can change the email address the alert is sent to.
