Credit Card Processing Error

Postby Matt_13 » Thu Sep 30, 2010 1:57 pm

Hello,

I've been trying to process a test credit card transaction this afternoon, and I keep getting the following error message:

Your order was not processed
There was a problem processing your credit card information.
Please verify that the following were entered correctly:

Zip Code
Card Number
Expiration Date

If you repeatedly see this message, complete your order by contacting the merchant directly.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Detailed error message:
Process Status: 20412
Status Message: Precondition Failed: Security Information is missing
Approval Code:
Response Code:
Response Message:
Transaction Reference Number:

I am quite sure that I have entered the correct ZIP code, card number, and expiration date.

I just got off the phone with Orbital (I use the Chase Paymentech/Orbital Gateway), and they said that the request from ShopSite is not hitting my account at all - there is no activity on my account whatsoever from Orbital's end.

I am using ShopSite 10.

Any ideas on what could be causing this problem and how I can fix it?

Many thanks!

This error means your server's IP is not registered with Paymentech. Have your host provide you with the server IP where ShopSite resides, and you will need to give this to Paymentech so they can allow transactions from the server to reach their system.

Some credit card companies require you to register to Paymentech first because they want to be sure about your Credit Card account. Maybe it is because there are lots of people who make fraud today. Well, it is better to be safe than to make anything that will make you sorry in the end.
