I went through the wizard inside the ShopSite software to install Google Analytics. I published the site after pasting the GA code into the section which asked for it. I waited 24 hours to check my stats through GA but GA says it doesn't see the code. It says the code should be installed before the /head switch in the website code. If I view the source ShopSite clearly put the GA code AFTER the /head swtich.

Any idea why?

What is the URL to your website?

When i go through Google Analytics setup for my website in my GA account, it says to paste the code within the body section of the page, not in the head section.

If you go to your GA main page where it shows your profiles, at the end of each profile you'll see Edit and Delete. Click on Edit. That should take you to your profile settings. In the upper right corner of the table I see "Tracking not Installed then a link to Check Status. Clicking that takes me to a place that asks me what I'm tracking and shows the code to paste into the code of each page you want to track. There it says: Copy the following code, then paste it onto every page you want to track immediately before the closing </head> tag.

Any ideas on this one?

Strange thing is I checked my Analytics and it shows that it's reading now. But it's obviously not reading correctly. It shows 7 visits on Sept 14 and that's it. Which isn't right according to my stats provided by Lexiconn. I've even had orders since Sept 14th so people have definately been on my site.

If you are hosted at Lexiconn, they can probably help you resolve this issue. They are excellent in there knowledge and support of ShopSite.
