We hope to have real-time inventory synchronization between the Order
Manager and ShopSite sometime in the future. The Order Manager already
"knows" how to do that - we are waiting for the people at ShopSite to add
the code to support it at their end.
In the meantime, you could accomplish almost the same thing by updating your
inventory in ShopSite once or twice a day with data from the Order Manager.

Order Manager looks cool - but is the inventory tracking managed just
offline? I was envisioning that ShopSite had a product attribute
inventory
tracker online, so that if a customer tries to order 50 white bags but I
have only 20 white bags in stock, a message of sorts would say "sorry -

I have a product that comes in different colors. I want to be able to

track of inventory per color. It doesn't look like ShopSite allows me

so. I can only keep track of how many of the product itself I have
on-hand.
For example, I can't note that I have 11 white bags and 20 blue bags --
just
31 bags.
Am I right?
