Is there an accessible success/failure flag after a transact

Postby afmiller1953 » Tue Jul 13, 2010 10:09 am

All I need is a way to determine after a transaction as to whether is was a success, from the shopsite standard package. Is there any way? I know it will show the thankyou or error page but is there an accessible flag?

I know the pro version has the order api where I could put a perl script etc. to process the return information but I don't have that version.

Thanks In Advance for any help?

I'm not sure what you mean by accessible flag The merchant does get an email receipt of the order.

I mean I know that the shopsite pro provides for the order api which returns all info about the transaction which can then be used by a script i generate to do things, BUT, I don't need all that info.

If shopsite provides somewhere a flag for that transaction that indicates success, that's all i need to run background script for some unique things I have to do for the customer order.

The only way to automate a process when an order is completed is to use the OrderAPI functionality in ShopSite Pro. There is no other indication that an order has completed unless you have some way to monitor when emails are sent from your store. There is no flag that is set saying an order just completed.
