Didn't work, I still get this message after I hit checkout now...
Error

Product: Test Product One - 893 in stock
There is not enough of this product in stock to fulfill your order, try
reducing the quantity ordered.

Any ideas?

Andy,
This information is In the file inventory.dat in your store's data
directory
. I don't think there is an interface to this particular string but you
should be able to manually edit the file and change the text to whatever
you
want it to be. The section you need to edit is near the end of the file
and
looks like this:
MESSAGE>Item Available<END
TO><END
SUBJECT><END
BODY>Place here the merchants messsage<END
Change the string "Place here the merchants message" with your own
message.
There will be an interface to change this in the next release of ShopSite.

We were trying to place a test order for a quantity exceeding our
on-hand
inventory.
The following error was displayed on the shopping cart page:
Product: My Test Product - 893 in stock

This isn't the problem. The problem is if a customer doesn't adjust the
quantity and proceeds to checkout, the error message is displayed with
no
reference to hitting the back button and adjusting the quantity.
Is there a workaround that anyone can think of?
Thanks,
Andy
