Have a ship from zip code for each product.

We dropship a lot of our products and it would be great if we could assign the ship from zip code on a products basis and not globaly.

I was hoping I could add a different zip code to each product as I also dropship so i need the shipping charges to be calculated from where they are shipping from not just my home zip code.
As this post was originally set back in 2009 I can only assume that Shopsite will not be adding this kind of feature any time soon.

There are so many possibilities for how shipping could be configured that it would be almost impossible to design a single method that would meet everyones individual needs.
However, ShopSite provides a way for you to implement that type of shipping.
You can use one of the custom fields in the product to say where it is being shipped from. Then write a shipping module that will determine the shipping cost based on the custom field.
