Missing Menu (More Info Pages)

Postby Noggin » Sat Dec 12, 2009 2:20 am

I'm experiencing an odd circumstance that may or may not exist in the default template.

When clicking on a product the page goes to a More Info / Product page that contains no menu despite retaining the 'tell a friend' link and all other attributes.

Source-code of the More Info page notes:
</form>
<div id="leftlinks">
<a class="tf_popup" href="#" onClick="window.open('my site ect ect ect')'>Send to a Friend!</a></div>

While the source-code of the home page or any page with a functioning menu includes all the menu items/links between <div id="leftlinks"> and <a class= ect ect

The more info pages seem to be calling up Congruence-Product.sst (despite using CropCircles) but that all checks out fine. The odd part is how it seems to be calling only part of the menu.

The functionality is actually correct. Page links cannot appear on more info pages. You have a few options:

1. Use a ShopSite include for your left nav and hardcode the links there. Then call that include in a custom product template.

2. If you're running the latest v10 SP1, you can use the new global navigation menus to have nav links on every page. We have a blog post talking about the new features and how to implement them:

3. If you want to get more advanced, you could have one page in ShopSite that uses a custom page template that only outputs the page links you want for your store's navigation. You then use a server side include or php code to include this html code for navigation on each page.
