Removing the country from the cart

Hello:

Assume that you only ship to locations in the US. If thats the case, can the country text field or dropdown (if thats being used) be removed from the cart?

I know that the label for country can easily be removed. But havent figured out if the country can be removed. Some previous postings on the forum alluded to this.

If you use no feature that requires a specific country code then it won't show up in the cart.

Features that require a specific country code are
Taxes --Tax by zip, AvaTax, VAT tax,
Shipping options -- UPS, USPS, FedEx custom shipping add on. Free Shipping and Free Shipping coupon.
