upgrade v10(sp1) back office font face

Postby marcea » Fri Nov 20, 2009 5:52 pm

I just upgraded from to the newest ShopSite. But to my dismay, the back office font faces have been changed or defined to something similar to courier-like, including on the Order Packing List. I think it is really UGLY, personally I prefer Arial. I use the Packing List format in packages to customers, and am unwilling to use what is now provided. Also, the numbers on Orders are left-aligned, as opposed to right-aligned, when viewing with IE7. I still prefer IE7 over IE8, but I am told the newest version is not compatible with IE7.

There is no option to change the font face. So I had to revert to previous ShopSite version, despite liking some of the new features. The back office look is that problematic.

I hope you will consider fixing this to how it was before when it comes to font face, or giving the option. I would then like to upgrade!

If you don't like the fonts that display on the order and packing slip screen just add styles to the configuration section of the orders screen for both the order and packing slip.

Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome (all of which are free and IMO work better than IE 7 or 8 ) are other options you could try for browsers.

font face and alignment in back office Order/Packing List

Postby marcea » Sat Nov 21, 2009 11:54 am

I've been testing with a Demo Store to work out this problem as you suggested.

It seems that if I select the "new" Backoffice Theme, and insert into the Orders/Packing Slips header:
<style type="text/css">
{font-family:arial;font-size:12px}
</style>
that I get font that I want (except I still get left-aligned dollar amount).

If I want to use the "former" Backoffice Theme, nothing I do will change how Orders will come out.

What I actually don't understand, though, is that the style text I insert into the "header" section, applies only as a style class "order-pre" to the table with the shipping info. That table closes before getting to the product and dollar details of the order, yet it seems to change the font in the next table. Doesn't make sense to me, does it to you?

It also still does not make sense to me why the dollars do not right-align. Almost like there is something wrong with the "class=right" definition used for the table field?
