How to remove "ship to" information from cart for

Postby gkrehbiel » Thu Nov 19, 2009 9:35 am

Is there a way to set Shopsite so that if all the items in the cart are download products, the ship-to information will not appear?

On my site if you go to this page ...

http://store.kiplinger.com/family_recor ... nizer.html

... and add the download version of the product to the cart, you still see "Ship to Zip/Postal Code" and "Ship to Country" in the cart.

I am using Shopsite 10 pro.

Thanks,

Greg

Yes, I have tax by zip enabled. We need it to charge different taxes in different states.

Then the zip and country fields have to appear on the first step of the cart so they can be entered for tax calculation purposes.

Note that shipping address fields do not appear in Step 2.

No other way?

There's no way to suppress that when all the items are downloadable, or when all the items are checked with the "Check here to NOT apply shipping charges on this product" flag?

No, because the items may still be taxable, so the cart needs the information.

That makes sense. I'll just add some language to explain the download issue. Thanks.
