Sandbox account for testing checkout

Postby natez311 » Thu Nov 19, 2009 7:51 am

Hi,

I was wondering if shopsite provides a fake credit card or sandbox account for testing your checkout to make sure purchases go through. Let me know if this is possible, thanks!
Thanks!

I use Authorize.net to process cc's. They have a "Test Mode" that you can enable to shut off the actual processing of credit cards. Your processor may have a similar feature.

You can enable the COD method temporarily if your store is live and then use that for placing orders.

If you use the manual credit card processing method you can use the CC# 4111 1111 1111 1111 and any CVV2 value and and expiration dated in the future.

I don't think I use the manual processing for credit cards, check it out:

Add something to the cart and try to check out. I tried that number you gave me Jim and that doesn't seem to be working. Is there something different I can use?
Thanks!
