query about INCLUDE

I have several include files in my website. This includes top and left menus. If I edit the INCLUDE file and upload it using FTP, I still do Power Edit on the pages that uses the INCLUDE and republish. I think this takes time. Can someone help me on this?

What percent of the pages use the include? If it is the majority you could just go to Utilities > Publish and just regenerate the whole site instead of power editing all the pages that use it.

It depends but the point is I want to have faster update in uploading include. Actually I planned to use an include using .php since I found out that this is faster. However, when I used php and that php file contains Shopsite tags, the include will not execute properly and read the tags as string. Is there a way to resolve this?
