Postby gkrehbiel » Mon Nov 09, 2009 9:46 am

Where in Shopsite can I put a PDF file that customers can download without having to register or purchase it?

Thanks,

In your output directory where all your store pages are located. Then just include a link on a page or in an email to the location..

Can I do it through the Shopsite admin?

Thanks. That sounds like something that has to be done on the server. Is there a way to do it through the shopsite admin tool?

I can load it as an image

I came up with a solution. I can load the PDF as an image and link to it from there. Thanks.

Another way to do it would be to use the Merchandising > Custom Pages feature to upload it. When you publish the store it will copy it from the upload directory to the html directory

Create a PDF file in your Image Options

I have MSDS sheets that are in PDF format. Create a folder in the Image section and uploaded the PDF files there. Put the file name in one of the product extra fields. The customer clicks a link and a new window opens with the PDF file.
