[-- DEFINE LINK_TO_PAGE --] isn't working

Postby wesleyblack » Mon Nov 09, 2009 9:24 am

Hello,
I am using shopsite manager.

I have created a custom template and when I edit the code between the [-- DEFINE LINK_TO_PAGE --] and [-- END_DEFINE LINK_TO_PAGE --] tags, the changes are not reflected in my store.

After I edit the information between the define link tags, the code does not show up on any of the pages in my site.

When I edit the same custom template and add some text after the <body> tag, it sshows up on my site.

This tells me that I AM able to edit the custom template, however I CANNOT manipulate the appearance of links via editing the code between the [-- DEFINE LINK_TO_PAGE --] and [-- END_DEFINE LINK_TO_PAGE --] tags.

any advice is much appreciated!

Something else to note:

I downloaded every single file that I could from the ftp (the host has granted me limited access so far).

I searched these files for the code that is displaying where my modified link code SHOULD be displayed and it did not exist in any file!

So strange. Thanks in advance for any help!

The link style definition will be used when you have a [-- Loop Links --] tag in your template. It will also be used on search results when the search results goes to a regular store page.

On the search results or a regular page if there is a link to the moreinfo page that link format is not used.

Thank you for your reply.
What must I do to correct this issue? Is there an alternative to the "loop links" tag?
