database fields....can this be done?

Postby Andrew Greaves » Fri Jul 26, 2002 3:49 pm

I inherited a site using v4.1. Does anyone know the field names SS uses in
products.db and pages.db so that i might access them through an ADO or ODBC
connection string and construct my own product pages? Does anyone know if
this is access, MySQL, SQL 2000? or what?

Thanks all

Andrew

It is none of those, it is a proprietary database file format and can only be
accessed via the ShopSite cgi's.

Andrew -

You might want to check out the Stone Edge ECom Assembler at
http://www.stoneedge.com/ecomassembler.htm

With the ECom Assembler, you have all of your ShopSite page and product
data, plus a variety of custom data, on your on PC or LAN, and you can use
the program's powerful template system to automatically construct pages to
your specifications.

Feel free to give us a call during the week if you have any questions.
