Carry Product - But Not Yet Visible

Hello,

There are times I would like to carry a product on the store - but not always make it visible to the buyers.

For instance - I may be having difficulty getting in a product and want to temporarily NOT have it available - yet I don't necessarily want to delete the page for the product and have to re-enter it when I finally get the product available again.

I thought I could do this by not listing the product on a catagory page - yet somehow a customer managed to find the product anyway and ordered it - and there wasn't even a price yet! How can I have the page - but not make it available until I'm ready for it to be seen?

If you have a product moreinfo page for the product it will not be removed if you unassign the product from a page. This may be how the shopper found the product.

You could create a custom product template that you use for temporarilly out of stock items that would allow the shopper to see that you carry the item but not have an add to cart button on the product.
