Add To Cart very slow

Postby hotlobstah » Fri Mar 27, 2009 12:32 pm

My shopping cart seems very slow-a bit excruciating when taking phone orders not to mention poor customer experiences online. Also very laggy when hitting 'recalculate'. Here's the store: http://www.seascooterexpress.com/store/index.html
-add something to the shopping cart-you'll see what I mean

It wasn't always this way-Any ideas?

Probably a slow connection between your host and UPS. Not much you can do about it though.

I've actually had it time out on me before-I have other store sites where this process is pretty much instantaneous-no lag at all. Also, I've been getting odd customer feedback recently as well e.g. "I couldn't place an order because the Add to Cart button was missing" or "there is a yellow exclamation mark where the shipping options should be" Could be the due to the realignment of the planets-but it seems like more than a coincidence.

Anyone else want to try this for speed?

Again, I added a product to the cart and it took about one second

Worked quite quickly for me this morning maybe 3 seconds to add to cart and 5 for a recalculate that has to contact FedEx.

Yeah, it seems back to normal and my online orders have picked up again. Probably was an issue with my hosts servers-or the evil forces of black magic

Thanks for everyones feedback!
