Images load to memory but are not visable/usable in Editor

Postby OccasionsFineGiftware » Wed Mar 25, 2009 12:38 pm

When editing content through "Easy Site" in my at&t hosted website the images shown in my directory of uploaded images is constantly malfunctioning. Images I delete are randomly re-appearing. I upload images that are accepted and shown in used memory - but they are not visible for selection. Occasionally, all my uploaded images will appear and after editing a specific image most if not all the images disappear including the image just edited (even though it still shows as used memory).

AT&T tech support observed all these problems on their end. They said all the images are saved in my usable memory, but they don't know why they appear randomly. They also saw images they deleted reappear in my files. I was told to use Firefox instead of Explorer, but it made no difference on my end or their's. To my dismay, they said they did not know what was going on and I should try to find answers at this forum.

Any help would be greatly appreciated given that the company who sold this package to me is unable to help at all. Thanks.

Now I am also getting "an error occurred while publishing" message when I try to publish. Very frustrating.

Is your site automatically being backed up (archived) to a different drive and then being restored. I have seen a case where this was happening and the directory that the merchant was using was the backup location and not the actual location so the files were being change by the system itself during the backup process.

Are you loading these images from within ShopSite using the image upload functionality? If not then the permission are probably not being set correctly for them to be seen within ShopSite and on the web.

Thanks. I am using the image upload functionality. I will run your responses by my hosting company on mOnday and see what answers I get.
