Mail Order Manger and V10 upgrade

Postby artattack » Tue Feb 17, 2009 5:31 am

Hi.

Before we upgrade from 9 to 10 is anyone aware of any issues that would affect the MOM Shopsite e-commerce module and the synchronization that module performs.

From Dydacomp I have this reply to my question.

Unless ShopSite 10 has new required fields or changed the names of its fields, it should still work.

It should still work. There were a few changes made to payment gateways which change how some text for payment information was made. I think this mainly affected PayPal Payflo Pro.

You could get a demo store at http://shopsite.com/demo.html and try downloading a couple of orders and see if it works.

Thanks Jim

I will investigate the Demo option first, not sure if I can link this though with the shopsite/MOM e-commerce setup.
ftp / servers setup etc

We are running MOM version 6.0 and the ecommerce module has stopped working all together. MOM does not support 6.0 so we up the creek.

Hi Kayakooc.

We upgraded to 7 when it was first made available, and works Ok with latest Shopsite version, but not sure it works 100% though, I did have sync issues that I have not investigated because I dont use it, but it does download the orders into MOM OK using the Shopsite module.

We dont pay for support from Dydacomp, just too expensive for us and very unlikely we would upgrade again.

I also backup the entire MOM folder daily and has saved my bacon a few times.

"Stopped working altogether" If it was working fine before then it would suggest something has changed if you could offer a clue?

We moved MOM to a new dell Computer running Windows 8 but this problem started before that, it just got worse to the point that now it does not work at all. It will occasionally work when running off the old PC running Windows XP but after a few downloads the error comes back. So going back to the old system is not really an option because it does not work there either and we have entered reams of new orders into the system. Not sure what else would of caused the problem so we are resigned to either upgrade to recent MOM(my last choice) or going to a new provider. I have called MOM sales twice to find out the upgrade price and have not gotten a call back yet (1 week and running) so that is very disturbing. We are hand entering in 20+ orders a day. My staff is about to mutiny. Thanks for you help.

I have brought a consultant in to help figure out the problem. I can not talk to MOM about the problem because they no longer support the product (Buyer beware) and shopsite through my provider lexiconn says nothing has changed so its not their problem. Anyone running the newer MOM versions and using the ecommerce module please let us know if it is working before we upgrade or move to another platform. The consultants conclusion is to upgrade or go a different direction because of the cost of figuring it out.
Does anyone else experience this problem either on a permanent basis or intermittently?
