Associate Email Variable

Postby bbritton » Mon Dec 29, 2008 9:07 am

What is the Associate Email variable on the Thankyou.cgi page? I am thinking it is O-EmailList, however, I am not so certain on that.

Thank you,
Brett

O-RefName Associate name, if the customer arrived at the store via an associate referral

This help page lists the various fields
http://www.shopsite.com/help/10.0/en-US ... .spec.html

I don't think the associate email is in the order, just their name. The email comes from a different database which is only accessible from the backoffice.

If there a way I can access the Associate email?

From the backoffice of your store.
Merchandising > Associates > select associate > Edit Associate Info > Email field.

No way from orderapi

Not unless you made the name of the Associate the same as their email address, which they may not appreciate.

Of course you could use something for the name that only your Order API script knows how to decipher easily, for example (very simplistic example), namefafafadomainlalalacom and then your code would know that fafafa was the @ symbol and lalala was the . and translate this to name@domain.com.
