This is my first time posting here, so if i am in the wrong area please correct me.

I am looking for someone who can help me with design issues and functions of shopsite. I have contacted some of the listed certified shopsite designers at this site and for one reason or another found them less than satisfactory.

There were various issues, one designer said he wasn't interested unless it was contracting a full website, mine is near complete apart from needing some custom features and a few more cosmetics done to the pages.

Previously to needing this stage done, another was just plain dishonest about the time to do a task, talking like weeks (I got it done by someone else in half an hour)

Another just wouldn't listen to what I wanted and that I was happy with my site, wanted to change the whole look and feel for a simple task, in other words wanting to redo the whole site with what i thought was a huge step back into some old fashioned tacky design.

I could list some more issues I’ve experienced but i think it would seem inappropriate and of no benefit.

I don't doubt your experience in the least treasure_gal. I wasted a lot of time with one of the certified designers earlier this year. Eventually I got some excellent help that I needed on a small task.

Yes it can be frustrating but I am glad you found some excellent help. It would be really nice to see some new certified designers added to the shopsite list.

One of the issues is that it requires a lot to be a certified Shopsite designer. I believe the requirement is 3 complete stores made in Shopsite.

I haven't had the time or resources to complete such a task.

On the other hand, in theory, such screening requirements should help to avoid the kind of problems you folks experienced.

Hi all Just a quick update. Thanks to all the people who emailed me and offered to help, i am happy to report i now have the help i was looking for. Thanks again to everyone, you have been terrific!
