Uploading Products

Postby kiawah » Fri Nov 21, 2008 10:53 am

I am trying to download products from one Shopsite 9 and upload them to a another Shopsite 9 site. The download works fine and the upload apparently works well. The message says it uploaded fine, howver, when I try to find the products in the back of the store they are not there. Can anyone help me. Thanks.

Are the two stores in a mall situation, sharing cgis? If so it may be that you are not logged into the store that you think you are when you upload the products. Try closing all browser windows and then reconnect to the store you want to upload to and see if you can then upload the products.

Note if you have 2 different browsers (InternetExplorer and Firefox or Safari) you could try using a different one instead of closing all of your browser windows.

Did you accidentally set the upload option to "ignore products that do not exist already"? That would cause no products to upload.

Where is that option set so I can see if this is why this is happening? I was unable to find it in the utility area.

After you initially upload the file at:
Utilities -> Upload -> Products

the screen where you match the fields, there is a checkbox for this option.
