Need help! Search is not working!

Hi All,
I could use some insight about why my search engine isn't working on my website, www.emg-collection.com. I have all search options turned on and have created another shopsite site where the search engine works. This is a replica of that other site and I had copied all the templates, pages and products to create this one.

Any ideas of why this could not be working? All products are indexed for search, the correct template is chosen in the settings (and it doesn't work even if I use a default template), and Index for search during update is checked under the publish settings.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

That link doesn't work for me. Is it behind a firewall? Has the DNS been set up so that it should be accessible from anywhere?

Do you see the products being indexed when you do a publish of the store?

Do you have a least one ShopSite generated page with the box checked to include a search form on the page?

What do you mean by " isn't working" what happens or doesn't happen?

If you copied the templates from another site do they contain hard coded urls to the other site?

Do you have the search destination of products set to "none"?

Sorry about the link. It should work now. I posted the question before fixing the link. If it still doesn't work for you, try www.emg-collection.com/store/index.html.

I do see products being indexed when publishing the store. However, that delightful blue bar on the top never makes it to 100% before it gives me "Index All". The blue bar only makes it about halfway.

I do have pages generated by Shopsite with the checkbox option selected to include the search form on the page.

Not working means that no results are shown. Absolutely no results, other than "Search Results For: Product XYZ" then the rest of the page is blank. I think you should be able to view it now since the link has been updated.

All updated URLS that were hardcoded have been updated with correct URLs.

I had the search destination set to "Store". I just tried it with "none", and that didn't work either.

Thanks for the quick reply! Any other ideas? Scrap the search template and start over?

Ignore the "period" in the url. Somehow that got hyperlinked as well.

I would try using one of the ShopSite provided search templates until you get the basic search working to make sure that it isn't the template causing the problem.

If the blue bar isn't going to 100% then something is wrong.

On the Utilities Publish screen try
checking the box for "Index for search during update"

and uncheck the box for "Generate HTML pages during update" .

Then click the Regenerate all button and see if indexing completes.
