search function is entirely non-functional

Hi:

I'm using the standard "Clean" search template, have all my pages turned on for indexing, have 220 keywords listed for search and have turned on every search function option and configuration I can find and STILL get no search results for words that are all over the site.

Can anyone help?

On the Utilities > Publish screen do you have the Index for search box checked?

Do you have at least one page that has the "Product Search Field:" checked? on the Edit Page Content screen.

You say "have 220 keywords listed for search" what do you mean by that? If you mean you added them to the stop list on the Preferences > Search Settings > Search Indexing then that might be the problem. That list is for words that you don't want found not for ones that you do.
