Product filename creation fails

When I create a new product and specify the "More Info Page File Name" NO file is created at all! And it doesn't matter how many times the store is published or other information about the product is changed. Yes, I did specify a valid filename (myproduct.html).

Is this a glitch? Do I have to first let the Shopsite program create a generic name to get it to generate a file name at all?

You don't have to specify a filename for the More Info Pages to be created, but you do have to at least check the 'Check here to create a More Info page' checkbox, and the product needs to be assigned to a ShopSite page (or as a subproduct to a product assigned to a ShopSite page).
