Ordering Problems

Hi,

We've gotten a few emails like this since we upgraded to v6:

Hi--

I've been trying to order some colored pencils online, but every time I
try


to add something to my shopping cart, or view my shopping cart, I get an

internal server error.

I'd sure love to get these pencils somehow--hope you can help!

I was wondering if anyone else is having the same sort of problems? Also,
our order volume has been down lately and am hoping this is not causing us
to lose orders. Any insight would be appreciated.

We too have had many complaints since upgrading to version 6.0.3.1 - this is
the email from one of our customers

The error message says

Error opening new basket database.file


"/export/home/apache/httpd-partydomai/shopsite/partydomai/IP/SSMSB/022679797
.25973"


I am waiting for Shopsite to look into this

Paul,

We have requested more information on this from your hosting provider. You
appear to be the only merchant who is reporting this particular problem. Neither
we nor your hosting provider have been able to reproduce the problem. The only
thing we could do without empirical data is to guess that a possible problem is
a server resource issue, the server may be very busy and can't open any new
files for some people during very high traffic times.

Thanks Loren for looking into this for us.

We do have a very busy site hosted at Webex and we are currently on a shared
server with other customers.

Perhaps we need to look at a dedictaed box for our site.
