Shopsite 6 & Order Manager

I just got Order Manager and was wondering why the "Import Orders Via
Internet" feature is disabled. Is it not possible to import orders straight
from the site?

Any help would be appreciated...

Here's how I do it from my in-house reference manual:

a.. In Internet Explorer, click on Orders in center or New Orders on
top
a.. Scroll down the orders and highlight any * starred orders
a.. Click View Orders, scroll down to the bottom of the page and hit
OK...that will clear the *
a.. Click Download Orders, and Yes to going on further screen
a.. Click Proceed, and Save File to Disk
a.. Save file should be defaulted to C:StoneEdge/New Orders, and Save
file name as orders.txt and type as Text Document
a.. Go to Stone Edge Order Manager, and click Import Orders
a.. Click View & Approve Orders

Order Manager is really powerful...there are so many uses...I find new
ones all the time. Lots of personalized email templates to fit every
situation but looks like they are so directed and sincere.

Another thing, be sure you go through each of the Parameters in the
maintenance menu item by item. Besides getting set up properly to fit
your needs, you'll find a wealth of configurations thought up by your
fellow ecommerce merchants and Barney's implementation.

The Import Orders Via Internet feature is not available yet for ShopSite
users. It was both more important and easier to implement for some other
shopping carts that do not have adequate built-in order downloading
capabilities, such as Miva Merchant and Able Commerce (which are open
systems where we had to and were able to write our own export modules) and
Americart, where we were able to work directly with the programmer.

To add the feature for ShopSite users, ShopSite would have to provide us
with a secure page in each store that we could post a user name, password
and starting order number to, that would then return the standard order
download text file. Frankly, we just have not had the time to ask them for
it yet. Maybe they will consider this a request, and if enough ShopSite /
Order Manager users ask them for it, we'll be able to add it to a future
update.
