Postby Al Koehler » Wed May 15, 2002 1:48 pm

Hi,
I have shop site 5.0.1.6 and we are haveing a problem downloading the orders, normally it
downloads a file called orders.txt which we import into excel, but now it is downloading a
file called download.cgi, which contains only one line "Could not load settings file!",

I think i have a permission problem but I'm not sure , any help would be greatly
appreciated
thanks

If you go to Preferences -> Hosting Service and uncheck the "Use SSL security in ShopSite:"
checkbox and then Save Changes and try the download agin, does it work then?

Hi Loren,
I tried that and it comes up with and internal server error when i try to even look at orders..
I guess I would have to change the https address if i do that as i am sharing a cert.
so it points to domainnameservers.net(our host cert), as opposed to out site
guidinglightvideo.com..
any ideas..
thanks again for all your help

I am having a similar problem. When clicking on the New Order tab, we get
an error page with the message:
(#11100258)
Unable to load Labconco.aa file!

I tried turning off SSL and am still receiving the error.

I followed the steps for Problem S04832 in the knowledgebase to no avail.

Any further suggestions.

Jason,

This probably has more to do with the fact that you are running the
statically compiled libc5 version of ShopSite for Linux, while your
particular server should be using one of the dynamically compiled versions
for libc6.0 or libc6.1.

The static libc5 version may have been the correct version when the ShopSite
was originally installed, but if the server has been upgraded or if you have
moved to a new server, then you may want to check which version of ShopSite
you should be using.

On the shopsite.com anonymous ftp site in the linux directory, there is a
file called ckplatform. Download this to your server, make it executable,
and run it from a commandline on your server. It should report back the
version of Linux you should be using.

Yes, the ckplatform has changed. I tried using the patch cgi (for libc6) to
no avail. What concerns me most is that other stores are fine. We have
multiple installs of ShopSite on the server (at least one of which is the
exact same as this store, 5.0.1 Static) which are all working fine. Is it
possible that the .aa file has been corrupted?

Not likely, if other cgi's are working fine. What did the ckplatform script
report?

ckplatform used to report a need for the v5 c libraries
Now, the ckplatform reports Linux6.

Solution: Problems downloading orders

Postby Jason Rush » Thu Jun 06, 2002 12:45 pm

I have found the problem.
We had a permissions problem. One of the directories above the ShopSite
back office cgi directory had its permissions changed. The read permission
was taken away to prevent directory listings while the execute permission
remained to allow access to directories below this directory. Why that
caused any problems is a complete mystery to me.

Thanks for trying to help.
