Loren, Took off the quotes which I had on a big group of pages that
get power edited often. And then Rob from Lexiconn sent me this note
below and made adjustments to my site. And it's all working, thank
you. And also again, you see why Lexiconn gets so much praise,
working behind the scenes to keep their customers up and
running...thanks Rob. Saw your post on the newsgroup. It seems the
page jewel_switchplates.html does not have Shopsite write permission
anymore. This usually happens when you FTP a page directly to your
account. Did you FTP this page up to your account on May 23, as this
is the date it was changed?
We have set this page to be writable once again by Shopsite, so that
when you publish, Shopsite will make the changes you want it to. It
should work fine now.
Feel free to email us for any Shopsite support requests as well as the
list, as we can often help in matters such as this
Let us know if this fixes the problem.

news:3CFD0FC8.AEAEE7D9@yahoo.com...Jimmy,
My bet is that this page is either not being overwritten or
the current ShopSite page does not have the same filename as
this page.
Netscape has a feature that can tell you the date a file was
last modified and it says that this particular page was last
modified:
Last Modified: Thursday, May 23, 2002 2:31:46
PM Local time
Last Modified: Thursday, May 23, 2002 8:31:46
PM GMT
Check that page in the Pages section, make sure that it's
filename is really set to jewel_switchplates.html, then Save
Changes so that it will prompt a partial regen of this page,
then hit the Publish tab and watch for the message that says
it is generating this particlar page. Watch for error
messages that say that it can't be opened for writing, etc.
Also, are you doing uploads? I notice that the title of this
page is surrounded by doublequotes, which M$ Excel sometimes
does to fields on an export. I wonder if it put quotes
around the filename field at some point as well, that could
cause problems.

Loren, I see you answering other questions...no more
advice on my option editing predicament?

news:adibmi$kp2$1@support.shopsite.com...I made
a change to one of my options in the back end,
published it, and the old options are still
there on my site. I deleted all the options
from the same product so there are no options in
the backend...all the old options are still
there on the site...and I can place an order
also. I originally used the power edit. I then
went to the individual product and made the
changes...all to no avail. I'm stumped.
