Shopping cart optimization

Greetings,

In regards to the shopping cart. Has anyone come up with the "ideal" use or arrangement of the recalculate, empty cart, continue shopping and checkout buttons? Perhaps changing the size of them or order in which they appear? (Although the recalculate would make the most sense as coming first)

Where can I edit the destination that the continue shopping button takes you to? Ours sends the shopper back to the last item purchased. I wanted to try sending them to the homepage and see what effect that had.

I don't know about the best placement of buttons and you will probably get as many different answers as there are people who answer.

The Continue Shopping destination that is set on Commerce Setup > Order System > Shopping Cart screen in the field "Return To Shopping Button:". It can be either the page ordered from or the URL you specify.
