Product Setup

It seems that something has changed since I first began adding products and setting up my shop.

Some of the options that were originally available on the product setup page are not longer showing. (ie qty). I have attempted to use several templates to have the quantity (to order) next to the item but that does not resolve the issue.

Also on the page setup page it seems that options have 'disappeared' mainly the one that comes to mind is Preview Page.

What's happened?

Perhaps you accidentally switched back to Basic Editing mode? If you see an Advanced Editing button at the bottom of the Pages or Products menu, click on it and that should switch you back to Advanced Editing where there are more options. Basic Editing only gives you the same page/product options that were in the initial Setup Wizard screens for pages and products.

That's what I thought but it shows that I am in Advanced Editing.

I have 'lost' that ability to perform advanced editing it appears. I'll check with my host and see if something has changed and see where that gets me.

Just to be clear, if the button on the Pages and Products menus says 'Advanced Editing', then the mode you are currently in is Basic Editing. Only if the button says 'Basic Editing' are you currently in Advanced Editing.

So if your button says 'Basic Editing' then you are in Advanced Editing mode, and then you should contact your host if you don't see all the options you previously did. In that case, it would seem that perhaps they downgraded your ShopSite product level, for example perhaps you had a ShopSite Manager store before, but now it is ShopSite Starter.
