brand new user; need custom template help

I am a graphic designer, and I've never done any sort of backend code before. I created a template in Dreamweaver, then uploaded and put the ShopSite tags where I was instructed. My product and links loops seem OK, but I'm having severe issues with deciphering product templates, more info pages, and more specific tags (for instance, I don't think my FTP file structure is correct, and I couldn't add includes).

I've been to the cookbook and Help forums, but I think I need some one-on-one questions answered. Is there anyone on here who consults for setup questions? I don't want to charge my client 10 hours for what should be done in 2...

Please post a link to a sample of what you want your pages to look like. Also post specific questions about things that you are having problems with.

As for uploading include files. If you don't have proper ftp permissions setup you an always just create an empty template or include in the Merchandising > Custom templates > section and then paste the code from your Dreamweaver html or style sheet or whatever into that template and then you don't have to use ftp.

I have actually found someone who will give me one-on-one help as I go along, so I think I'm set for now. These forums are very helpful, though, so I'm going to be asking more specific questions later, definitely.
