product border

I cannot figure out how to get the border between products to display. I am using the elite pr product template and the sample shows a border between products on the page. I am going crazy. Please help.

Are you just using the elite product template or are you using the elite theme? If you are just using the product template it may be something in the page template that is causing the problem. However, I set my page template the plain one and the products to use the elite and it shows borders around the products. You can see it in a demo store here.

A link to your page would be helpful so we can see more of what you mean.

Scratch that last post, I was looking at the page links on the first page of the store. When I looked at the pages with products the borders are missing.

I will check with the template designer and see if they are suppose to be there as indicated in the thumbnail sample page or not. I'll post what I find out.

After doing a little more searching I remembered that there is an option on the Pages > Edit Page Layout called Column Borders:. If that option is checked then the pages with products on them, when using he elite theme, do have the border around the products.

So check and make sure you have the option Column Borders: checked and then publish again.

I did check the column border button but that did not make the borders appear around the products.

In your page it says that you are using the gradient1 page template (gradient1-page.sst). I see this in the styles defined for the page

Note the border : 0px That would make the width of the 0 so it wouldn't show up.

In the default gradient template the code is:

so the border would be 1px wide and would display.

Have you (or someone else that has access to the store or the ShopSite install area) made changes to the template or any of the include files that would have caused this?

Note that because you are using the gradient1-page.sst page template some variable may not be set properly if you are using a different product template. The various individual templates are not always interchangeable between different themes.

I did not change the template because I do not know how. Is it possible to be able to change it back to have a border?

I just checked the page again and I do see a border around the products now. Did you change something?

I did not change anything. It's crazy that they suddenly appeared. Although last night I made some color changes, published, reviewed and when I went online this morning and they were all different from last night. Completely bizarre and a little nerve-wracking because I have no clue how that could happen.
