Finally got my .sst right, now my Custom Tags don't work!

Well.. the topic says it all.
I FINALLY, after WEEKs now of driving everyone nuts with my mindless questions..
I finally get my template right.. it's all lined up, everything displays like I want it to.

I go to put BACK IN my custom tags like
[-- MINICART --] and [-- RegistrationSignIn --]

and they don't work! they simply show up as text on the page...

any ideas for me now?

Are these tags in an include file? If so, does the INCLUDE tag in the referencing template file have the 'PROCESS' parameter after the include filename? If not, then the entire include file will just be treated as text. Only if the PROCESS parameter is in the INCLUDE tag with that include file be parsed for custom template tags.
