Subproducts are toying with me!

I'm using ShopSite Pro 8.3
Template= awesome_orange_001_pa_template.sst
I've not done any customizing

I am trying to add Subproducts which appears to be a simple process.
I've paid close attention to the fact that you must add the main product as a subproduct. Instructions state if you do not the pricing will not show up.

I have done exactly as the directions state. The main product does show up as a subproduct but it will now show the pricing, quantity box, etc... It will show it on all other products I add but not if it's the main one. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong since it looks so simple.

Do you have those options enabled for the main product?

I'm presuming you mean do I have the pricing information checked to show on the main item? If so, yes. If I don't have a subproduct chosen and it's just the one item then the pricing, quantity etc. shows up just fine. I've tried it with several items and it's doing the same thing every time. It's reacting how the instructions say it will react if I don't choose the main item and as subproduct along with the others but when I look it's there.

I'm still setting it up so I have my old website that customers are seeing but you you still be able to see it at:

I have the bottle stopper chuck listed as a subproduct of the Bottle Stopper. When I add the chuck the bottle stopper pricing disappears. If i remove the chuck, the bottle stopper pricing comes back.
