Shoppiing Cart

We want to disable the "Show me my shopping cart every time I order something" function, which we can do in the console. However the option to check the box for "Show me my shopping cart every time I order something" still shows up on the shopping cart page. We want to turn off the function and remove the option from the shopping page so a user cannot select it.

In ShopSite Pro (not sure about Manager or Starter) there is a checkbox under Commerce Setup -> Order System -> Shopping Cart labeled 'Do not display the the "Show me my shopping cart" check box' that you should check to turn this shopper option off in the shopping cart.

If you do have this merchant setting checked but you still see the shopper checkbox in the shopping cart, then the files that represent your particular shopping cart session were created before you enabled this option, just try using the Empty Cart function or clear your browser cookies to get a new shopping cart session the next time you add to cart so that you can see that the shopper option is now gone.

I see the two checkboxs on the shopping ordering screen; "Default for the "Show me my shopping cart" checkbox" and the Do not display the the "Show me my shopping cart" check box. If I check the second one the option disappears from the shopping page but no matter whether I check the first option or not it goes to the cart when I order anything. If I leave them both unchecked it doesn't go to the shopping cart until I select view cart, which is what I want. However the option then appears at the top of the shopping cart and the user now has the option to activate it.

There is not an option to turn off this checkbox and not show the shopping cart each time.

Perhaps what you could do instead is leave the option on the cart screen, but have it unchecked by default, and use CSS on the cart screen to hide it from the shopper so they don't see it and can't check it.
