Publish hangs on HTML generation with subproducts

For some reason, when I try to generate HTML pages, the generation hangs on certain products that have subproducts added to them. If i remove the subproducts, the generation works perfectly. No error is ever received, not in the server logs or on screen.. the server performance is reduced dramatically and the generation just times out after so many minutes. The symptoms are much like that of an endless loop in a script.. so i feel it is a programming error in the ShopSite cgi itself.

Anyone else experiencing this issue, anyone have a solution? Thanks
